Jonathan has a diverse practice which includes advising and assisting clients in professional liability and professional disciplinary matters. He also handles a wide range of matters for insurance clients including liability defence and coverage disputes.

Jonathan articled with the firm. He is presently a member of Harper Grey's Health, Insurance, Construction and Administrative Law Practice Groups.

Representative Client Work

Health Law: Jonathan provides legal services to physicians and other health care professionals in British Columbia.  This includes defending civil actions and matters before the Human Rights Tribunal.  Jonathan also represents physicians and other health care professionals in a wide variety of disciplinary matters including allegations of sexual misconduct, breach of confidentiality, improper prescribing of medication and competence issues.

Insurance Law: Jonathan represents insurance companies and their insureds in claims brought against them for personal injury and property loss.  Jonathan provides coverage advice to insurers on a broad range of issues including misrepresentation, failure to cooperate, intentional and criminal acts, arson and bad faith.  Jonathan also defends insurance agents and brokers in professional liability claims.

Construction Law: Jonathan has participated in the resolution of numerous construction deficiency and delay claims . He has represented parties involved in all aspects of construction including consultants, developers, general contractors and construction subtrades.

Background

Born in Carberry, Manitoba 1963. Jonathan is an accomplished musician and continues to sing and play in various bands in the Lower Mainland. He acts as a legal clinician for the Western Canada Society for Access to Justice and is President of the Board of Directors of the Lookout Emergency Aid Society.
