Sean has argued cases in the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal as well as the Federal Court of Canada.

Sean has acted on behalf of aviation insurers, airlines, operators, airports and maintenance and repair facilities. He also advises insurers and their insureds on a variety of issues including liability and coverage disputes. Sean is listed as one of the "Best Lawyers in Canada" in Aviation Law.

Sean's administrative law practice focuses on the representation and defence of medical professionals. He also maintains a general civil litigation practice, including cases before the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal.

  • Representing airlines and operators in hull loss subrogated actions.
  • Representing airports in personal injury and property damage liability cases.
  • Acting as co-counsel in an appeal regarding the role of juries in civil trials Brisson v. Brisson, British Columbia Court of Appeal, 2002.
  • Successfully defending a local restaurant in a personal injury action: Cropley v. Daishinpan (Canada) Ltd. dba The Cannery Seafood Restaurant, British Columbia Supreme Court, 2002.

Background

Sean was born and raised in North Vancouver. He is an avid runner and completed the 2002 Boston Marathon. He also enjoys hiking, snowboarding and golf.
